Hell & Purgatory

St. Ignatius of Loyola said "Let us fancy we see hell, and imagine what is worst to behold- a horrible carvern full of black flames. Sulphur, devils, dragons, fire, swords, arrows, and innumerable dammed who roar in despair. Imagine the worst you can, and then say "all this is nothing compared to hell". Many saints have been given visions of hell or purgatory as a reminder to pray and turn away from sin. Each member of the faithful should always orient their lives towards finding salvation and turning away from hell and purgatory.
